 COM (Customers Own Material) ThrowMeAPillow.com is the decorative pillow internet division of Renaissance Custom Upholstery, a family owned and operated business, established in 1979. Our goal here is to assemble the largest and most diverse selection of quality decorative throw pillows possible on one comprehensive website based upon the criteria of color, texture, fabric, pattern, size and fillings. Some well placed throw pillows add the color d'jour to your room. This gives you greater flexibility in your home decor. The subtle but powerful result of the right decorative pillow is a room that instantly feels warmer, and more inviting. However, the number of variables based upon the criteria of color, texture, fabric, pattern, size and fillings are ,of course, infinite. Reality dictates that even a collection of decorative pillows as extensive as Throw Me A Pillow may have just the right pillow for most people without having just the right pillow for you. Fortunately, that's where you stand to benefit most from our nearly 30 years of experience in the COM (Customers Own Material) trade. In our experience, the more discriminating the designer, the happier they have been with our finished products. SO WHERE DO WE BEGIN? As the name COM implies, this type of project begins with your own material. While we would be happy to be the sole provider for all of your textile needs, that is simply beyond the scope of what we can do here. So, the first step is for you or your professional designer to find a fabric that truly delights you. This is even true historically, in that the word upholster comes from the practice of holding up ("up holding") textiles in the marketplace. Once a lady passing by, falls in love with the fabric, the process of reinvigorating her palace begins! Once you have found just the right fabric, you'll need to decide on a design. This will include the general shape of your pillow (square, round, oblong) and it's conformation (boxed or knife edge, welted or trimmed). We may call to discuss this, but you will be in a better position to GET what you want if you can SHOW US what you want. Have you seen a picture somewhere? Do you have a sketch? Use the information on our contact page to get in touch with us. SO, having the fabric and having in mind the type/shape of the pillow you want, then such questions as trim and frills come into focus the question. Here we can help you since we carry trims from Robert Allen, Conso and several other standard trade suppliers. Your designer may have suggestions here too. Finally it's time to get these items to us so that we can give whatever input you would like, and especially, two estimates. 1) How much and 2) How long for production. "When can I have it?" and "How much will it cost?" REGARDING COST you will find a favorable balance between price and quality here at Throw Me A Pillow. Our quality, especially, remains unimpeached. What you will like most about our price is that we stick to the estimate. Once you have a price quote from us, we will honor that price for that specified job, if you move forward right away. REGARDING DELIVERY TIMES, that's harder. Every job is different and there may be any number of jobs already promised for the time between the day you make your initiate your project and the day your custom designer pillow comes to our cutting table. Of course, everyone want their job to get the attention it deserves and no one wants to have to wait to get their project delivered. For that reason, "RUSH" jobs are an impossibility; It would mean giving less attention to the person ahead of you or pushing them back in line. We can't do either of those things, BESIDES-- we are rushing already! We promise! Below, please find a standard information form.
