Upholster a Wing Chair

size in inches:
approximately 30.00in x 42.00in

Product Description

This is a typical Wing Chair Originally designed to stop drafts at the neck, especially before a fireplace.  The Wing Chair remains a symbol of Cozy in many homes today. With especially HIGH wings, the chair is known as a Monk's Chair, particularly when the wings form an arch over the top of the chair. There are 33% more parts to a wing chair than in a similar club chair. Where is a plaid to match, the wings should match the arms AND the back.  For this reason, the final labor on a wing chair will cost 33% more than a simple club chair with the same fabric. The example pictured here has 3/4 arms with a return.   You can usually get a wing chair like this out of 7 yards of plain fabric The base price here it to strip and recover a flat wing (the upright front stump does not curve outward but is flat) simple arm (not double scroll) wingchair with a straight (not curved) front rail and without a skirt. Example priced is just to remove old cover and re-cover a sound, clean stable wingchair frame with mostly reusable stuffing. EXTRAS would include: Complicated arms and/or wing shapes Decorative nails Kick Pleated, Waterfall, Shirred or Ruch and Run Skirts Re-tie 9 double cone springs 8 ways, Repair zig-zag springs (sinuous) or spring clips "T" cushion New webbing New stuffing  New Urethane Foam Cushion Re-Glue the frame et cetera These are listed separately because not all wing chairs have the same specifics SHIPPING COSTS and ARRANGEMENTS, WHICH APPEAR ELSEWHERE ON THE SHOPPING CART DO NOT APPLY TO ITEMS IN THIS CATEGORY
